WGN 19-09-06) (WGCB NH-09-06) (1999) A single-span Paddleford truss 49' 11" over a unnamed stream. Located: On the north edge of the locality of Bethel, Maine, within the Bethel, Maine, town line on the 12th hole at The Big Adventure Center miniature golf course. Directions: In Bethel, Maine, at the jct. of US 2, SR 4, SR 26 and Parkway, go north on US 2, SR 4 and SR 26 for 0.4 mile crossing a steel-and-concrete bridge to North Road on the left (West); turn left onto North Road to the Big Adventure Center parking area. In preparing a focal point for the 18 hole miniature golf course at Big Adventure Center, its builder, as well as owner of the center, went to one of his favorite historic covered bridges in the area - the Sunday River Covered Bridge (WGN 19-09-04). He took measurements of all the essential elements of the bridge and personally erected an exact 50% replica of the bridge in every detail, from the scaled-down trunnels, which are used to provide the essential joinery, to the scaled-down cedar shakes on its roof. The structure provides the fairway entrance to the 12th hole of the Big Adventure miniature golf course layout. (May 2005)

(WGN 19-09-07) (WGCB NH-09-07) (2001) A single-span Paddleford truss 50' 1" over a swamp area in Davis park. Located: On the walking path leaving the northwest corner of Davis Park in Bethel, Maine. Directions: Davis Park is located at the northeast corner of SR 26 (entering Bethel from the east) and Parkway. Or entering Bethel from the west on US 2, at the jct. of US 2, SR 5, SR 26 and Parkway, turn right (east) onto Parkway and go 0.4 mile to Davis Park on the left (east). In 2001, when the Town of Bethel was looking for a way to bridge a swampy area along its recently created footpath, a local bridge builder volunteered to build a covered bridge. The structure is very similar to the Sunday River Covered Bridge replica at Big Adventure Center (WGN 19-09-06). It is an authentic Paddleford truss span built in true nineteenth-century fashion with hand-turned hardwood trunnels for the essential joinery. (May 2005)
